The service was great. Everyone was pretty friendly and helpful. I went for my birthday, and there were some balloons and a sign on the mirror which really touched me. The hotel was clean overall, and the room was comfy. There's also Polaroid cameras available to book which was a lovely touch.

    Amazing time,.

Amazing time,. Stayed five nights which was just right to fit in all we wanted to see. Sanctuary hotel was in perfect location and staff were great. Booked attractions ahead which saved time, which is recommended (Empire State, Statue of Liberty and 9/11 Memorial). Broadway show was amazing (Back to the Future) and can highly recommend Dizzy's Club for Jazz and the view! Memorable horse and cart ride around the city Christmas lights!

We did three tours during our one week stay - the Burroughs, Harlem Renaissance and the 9/11 Memorial/museum. Each time we had a wonderful guide, so well informed and eager to give us a maximum of information. We learnt a lot, saw a lot and walked a lot. We greatly appreciated the days off where we did as we please. It was Christmas so we went to the Rockyfeller Plaza to see the tree of course. We found restaurants where we could eat very healthily. Le Parisien was wonderful among others . It was very easy to move around: we either walked or took an Uber. We had saved up a fund for that. We never waited more than 10 minutes. The energy in the street was fantastic. Came back home very happy with our trip. everything included.

Try to avoid cabs and Ubers as much as possible - the traffic was awful. The subway was much better when it went to where we were going. We also walked a lot, which we expected to do. The ferry to the Statue of Liberty was very disappointing - they oversold the tickets and the lines were way too long. We didn't even get off the ferry at either island because of the amount of time we wasted by waiting in line. We loved The Edge and Top of the Rock. Highly recommend La Pecora Bianca restaurant by Bryant Park! Also enjoyed The Playwright near Times Square - great food and Frank Sinatra style singer. The Rockettes was excellent - highly recommend! We were in the 10th row across the aisle from Center and were very happy - the seats were well worth the price. This was a mother/daughter/granddaughter trip and we did a lot of clothes shopping. The girls were ecstatic that some of their favorite online stores were there! Soho is a great destination for that purpose.

Love New York - not our first visit.

Love New York - not our first visit. So much to see and do and a great vibe. Visit Times square if you like to people watch! Lots of eateries around but many have become extremely expensive so shop around. Some great Asian restaurants around 34th, 35th streets. Some wonderful museums, this trip we spent a day in the Museum of Modern Art - take your time -and really enjoyed it. If the sun is shining take a walk around Central Park, and there always seems to be something going on in Bryant Park. If you like walking this is the place (10,000 to 13,000 steps a day) but don't be afraid to hop on a bus going in the direction you want to go.

Great location in Chelsea, New York - just off 7th avenue which leads directly to Times Square (20 minute walk) and Central Park (40 minute walk). Several subway stops (23rd Street - various entrances) within 5 minute walk with links all over the city. Luggage can be left before checking in or after checking out. Hotel isn't cheap, but seemed to be about the most reasonable we came across when looking at places to stay in Manhattan. Rooms are good sized and have very comfortable beds.
