Just 6 blocks away from former President Obama’s Hyde Park home, Sophy – Hyde Park brings art, science, literature and music together to provide a sophisticated, eclectic atmosphere amidst the culture... Wonderful! Beautiful hotel, clean well appointed room. Small neighborhood vibe, close to University of Chicago hospital. My Dad and I stayed while my mom was in ICU at the hospital. Chris, at the front desk, was AMAZING. He was kind, welcoming, compassionate and helped us with parking and reservations. Chris and the Sophy were a gem in a different time. Thank you!

This hotel is located within 5 minutes’ drive of the University of Chicago campus N and 11 km south of the Loop. The hotel offers free daily shuttle service between 7am until 7pm. First, the best part-your staff. The ones I can name-Chuck, Racquel, Cornell and everyone else who made me feel so cared for. I travelled partially on my own and for part of the time with family. When I was on my own, the hotel staff were so kind and so very helpful. They are a great bunch of people and Hyatt should be so glad that they are on their team. They did themselves proud.
