Designed with vintage and modern elements, BlueSky Hotel offers accommodation in downtown Taichung City. Free WiFi is available in all areas. This was our first typhoon and we were uncertain about what to expect. We felt very safe at Bluesky Hotel. The staff members were kind and reassuring and the building structure sturdy. The location is an 8 minute walk from the train station. There are restaurants, a bakery, POYA, convenience stores, shops, and the Central Bookstore nearby. It might be easy to miss the nice lounge area as it’s tucked away on the 2nd floor but it’s a cozy place for reading or to have a light take-out dinner. We spent 5 nights.

Situated in Taichung, 100 metres from Taichung Railway Station, Le Méridien Taichung features accommodation with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, private parking, a fitness centre and a restaurant. This was exceptional . I wish we could have stayed a week. We live in USA but we are a Taiwanese family so we will be back to visit family and the homeland and plan/hope to return to this hotel next time we come here! We have stayed in luxurious places all over the world but this was one of the best. And the food at the restaurant was some of the most beautiful gourmet chinese/taiwanese food we have had anywhere in the world. I was here with my husband and my mother in law who raved about it and said out of 5 stars this place was an 8. She said “I stayed in 5 star hotels all over the world and this room was nicer than any of them.”
