Ideally set in the Yancheng district of Kaohsiung, Sa-Yo Hotel - Pier 2 is situated 2.4 km from Xiziwan Beach, 2.6 km from Cijin Beach and less than 1 km from Kaohsiung Museum of History. Great value, well run hotel with excellent friendly staff.

Legend Hotel Pier 2 is located between Lover River and The Pier-2 Art Centre. It is only 350 metres from Yanchengpu MRT Station and Lover River and 500 metres from The Pier-2 Art Centre Dayi. I would honestly say that this was a perfect choice during our stay in Kaohsiung. To summarize... 1. Location Right near the Pier 2 Art Center and right next to famous beef noodle place (a must go). It is also near 2 convenience stores and 2 drugstores so you can get anything you need. The MRT is a few minutes away as well. It is not in the bustling downtown but you can get anywhere easily by MRT or you can just take a uber anywhere and it doesn't cost that much. So I would say that this location is ideal. It's also pretty quite and calm so I found it relaxing. 2. Hotel Staff Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful and willing to help at anytime. From the individuals at the desk to the cleaning staff to the people working in the dining area. Everyone is just extremely friendly and kind. I've seen people say that their English isn't the best but then it's also Taiwan so expecting people to speak English well is kind of ridiculous (in my opinion) and if you need help communicating, then you can use google translate. 3. Hotel Faciliites They have a really nice rest area and waiting area that anyone can use. They even give free popcorn which is quite nice I think. There is also a laundry room which was extremely helpful. Washing is free (washing powder is provided) but you do need to pay NT 50 for the dryer but that is really nothing. 4. The Free Breakfast I saw some comments saying that there weren't many western breakfast items.. It's Taiwan.... and you get a free breakfast included so just be grateful I guess? I found there was plenty and as someone who doesn't eat rice for breakfast I was fine with the breads and coffee. Truly, it's enough and plentiful. 5. Room itself The room was extremely nice and the beds are comfortable and the bathroom is nice too. Great water pressure and temperature. Rooms are cleaned by request. Overall, a really fantastic stay and I would stay here again if I come back to Kaohsiung.

Situated in Kaohsiung, 400 metres from Kaohsiung Museum of History, Holiday Inn Express Kaohsiung Love River boasts a restaurant and free WiFi throughout the property. I had a great stay at Kaohsiung Holiday Inn Express hotel. Staff was very courteous, room are spacious and clean. The location of the hotel is amazing, close to the river, the heart of the town and very easy MRT access. The breakfast buffet was good with an important choice. I would recommend this hotel for your next stay in Kaohsiung.

Decorated with an industry-style element, iron objects and vintage furnishings, City Suites - Kaohsiung Pier2 provides cosy and warm accommodation for all guests to Kaohsiung. No breakfast is included. The location is good. But I might be confused with another one because of its closely location.

Offering a buffet restaurant serving international dishes and seafood, City Suites - Kaohsiung Chenai provided classically decorated guest rooms with free WiFi connection. Great location. Tram stop at the front.

Situated in Kaohsiung, within 2.9 km of Xiziwan Beach and 300 metres of Kaohsiung Museum of History, Q21 Hotel features accommodation with a restaurant. A really good 3-star hotel. The check-in went easy. We also speak Mandarin, but the reception spoke good English. The rooms were good, and the shower size was comfortable. It was easy to find some breakfast opportunities around. Close by, you can find YouBike(2) rental bikes. Also without biking, it is easy to discover the city by walking around. For us it was also no issue to walk to the famous Formosa MRT-station. You must have a bit of patience to enjoy the light show there. We recommend the hotel.
