Conveniently set in the Al Malaz district of Riyadh, Golden Dune Hotel Almalaz is situated 5.5 km from King Abdulaziz Historical Center, 6.6 km from Masmak Fort and 7.1 km from Al Faisaliah Mall. Location was good and easy to access from my work areas. Food was delicious and excellent. It was really a good experience.

Located in Ar Riyad city centre, this hotel offers air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi access and a restaurant serving Arabic and European dishes. It features executive lounge facilities. I had a great stay in this hotel despite my passport being lost on the ride from the airport for 2 days. All the members of the staff were so supportive and helpful - I mean everyone from cleaners to security personnel to all managers. Such a good vibes and caring people! Everyone did all that was in their power to help me identify the taxi I came in and gave me all the advices needed for going to police and etc. I was very lucky and my passport was returned by an honest taxi driver so I could continue my travel. So biggest thank you to these wonderful people from Al Reef Malaz International hotel. You’re the stars! Now on to the actual hotel :) Big pluses for me were: the huge double bed with a comfortable sturdy mattress, I slept like a baby. The sheets were fresh and clean. Hot shower was perfect and I also had a bath tub. The air conditioner worked just right and I always had a very pleasant atmosphere in the room. The room itself was spacious, had all I needed including a working fridge. Most importantly for me as I’m a light sleeper it was very calm through the night which helped me sleep very well. The hotel looks pretty standard, the cleaners are always cleaning and it seems really organised. Check in process was spotless and easy. Most managers speak perfect English and were very wellcoming. What could be improved? The carpet had some old stains but it was cleaned. So it’s more a visual thing. WiFi wasn’t working very well in my room so I was using it in the reception area for the guests. Above all I appreciated the warmth, kindness and understanding of all the staff members in this hotel and the human factor will always be the most important for me. If you’re looking for a 5 star hotel experience you won’t find it here. You should be ready to pay 10 times more for that and look somewhere else. For the price you’re paying I think it’s a great choice if you want a good sleep in a place where you are really welcomed. Thank you!
