The hotel is in the same building area and attached to the Coliseum stadium that hosts musich concerts etc. Breakfast had warm choices (eggs, baconetc) and the normal cold choices (yogurt, fruit, cereal, cold cuts) in the buffet. Housekeeping even found a necklace I lost there and they are sending it to me. Update- they did send me the necklace, it arrived a week after I they found it..what great service I am really surprised they found it. That means it is a hotel run by a good team!

I turned a 1 night stay into a 3 night stay. I had a few days off from my job in a neighboring city and decided to stay longer. They have a charming personality that makes you feel welcome and comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located in a popular Porto location, Santa Caterina, near Bolhoã. The metro station is less than a minute walk. The rooms are well insulated to keep outside traffic to a minimum. I am an extremely light sleeper and wasn't woken up by noise. The rooms are average size. Some rooms you can view the beautiful Capela das Almas, the blue tiled building that many people take pictures in front of because of its stunning architecture. For the price of the room you get more than you pay for in my opinion. I say this because of the location and comfortability. They provide you with top-notch service and professional yet friendly, which is a hard to master I find too often. There is also a pleasant aroma in the hotel that I find relaxing and comforting. They provide you with the usual hotel toiletries. My room also came stocked with plenty of towels. There is a mini refrigerator and air conditioner in the rooms. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my stay at Hotel do Norte.

The communication and the staff were top notch. We were in a room on the 1st floor and could use the elevator to get our bags up the stairs. The room was very spacious and clean. We loved having access to a small kitchen when needed. This place is on one of the best streets in Porto - you can walk to the train station but since it's hilly, I would suggest an Uber. The staff is LOVELY and really made our time easy and fun. We will definitely return to this location!

The communication with the host was easy and they are very responsive.
