Hotel in zona Yangon downtown a Yangon

The Rangoon Hotel is in a prime location in the centre of Yangon, and provides a terrace, free WiFi and a bar. The hotel is located at a very convenient place in downtown Yangon. The facilities are excellent. I was given a room with a grand view of the harbour. Breakfast options were very good and the staff behaviour was courteous and polite. Good value for money. Will certainly return.

I read a lot of reviews when selecting hotels on booking.com but rarely do I provide a review myself. This is absolutely the place to stay in Yangon. The hotel is one of the most beautiful and well appointed hotels I’ve ever stayed in - it rivals beautiful 5 star hotels in London or New York but at a fraction of the price. But the real stand out is the staff - they made us feel safe, secure, always friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Myanmar has significant challenges with civil unrest and yet this hotel - amid great difficulty - stays open and provides an exceptional, safe and friendly experience. So many other large international hotels have shut - it’s a testament to the staff and owners this hotel remains open and running in such a professional way. Breakfast was delicious and we also had lunch and dinner at the hotel - all three I can recommend. I also tried the spa and had a Burma massage and it was great. We loved Yangon and we loved this hotel!

Comodamente situato a Yangon, il Golden Gate China Town Hotel offre servizi di portineria e un parcheggio privato gratuito. La camera grande e pulita. Aria condizionata perfetta. Attenzione però nella prenotazione. Molte camere sono senza finestra e quando si prenota non è chiaro. Per fortuna sono riuscita a cambiare stanza ma ho dovuto pagare un supplemento. A questo punto forse mi conveniva prenotare da altre parti.

We really liked the comfort, the value for money, cleanliness, attention to detail and overall, the staff were superb. I never knew how hospitable the Burmese people are.

We enjoyed the rooftop pool and the hotel was quite grand. The room was very spacious and comfortable with good aircon so that we could get a good night's sleep in the heat. The location in Downton Yangon was handy for a lot of trips we did, although the immediate street of the hotel had some colourful nightlife but it was safe enough.
