Beautifully presented. We were warmly welcomed and the staff were wonderful. The room was immaculate, tastefully furnished, exotic petals on the bed linen, beautiful local wood furniture, big walk-in shower. Everything is very carefully curated. Breakfast was excellent and the one meal we ate in the hotel was superb. An enjoyable early morning walking tour was organised for us which was fascinating. Overall, Forte Kochi hotel was a highlight of our visit to Kerala.

We were a group of 8 and stayed here for 5 nights. The rooms and the entire property are very clean. The staff goes out of their way to make sure we are comfortable. It is worth staying here just for how well the staff take care of you. Mr. Praveen in particular was very helpful with all information - local tips, organizing cabs, meals etc. Special thanks to him! The rooms are very comfortable. There is sitting space, the beds are quite big enough for two, and bathrooms are modernized, but still have buckets for Indian style bathing. The windows have very good mosquito netting, so there were no mosquitoes in the rooms. The wifi was strong. The breakfast was wonderful - with different variety of dishes everyday! The location in Mattancherry is quite good too. It is very close to the palace, the Synagogue and the Jew town. There are a some good restaurants nearby, and plenty of fruit vendors. For Fort Kochi, it's either a long walk of about 3 km or a short ride in an Auto (very easy to get).
