Hotel Clarks is located in Varanasi, just next to JHV Mall and 6 km from the city centre. It features an outdoor swimming pool and 5-star accommodation with a TV. Free parking is provided. Lovely hotel which the late Queen stayed in 1960. Still has old Colonial feel. Food excellent and the chef accommodated our requirements. Central enough to reach the ghats and old town in tuk tuk or taxi but situated outside the noise and crowds. Lovely garden and secluded pool.

Built in 1818, the building Hotel Surya used to be a royal palace of an ancient Nepali king. Located in Varanasi, it has an outdoor pool, a large lawn area and a full service spa. The property is beautiful. It is the perfect place in BenBenaras if you want to escape the hustle of the city and still visit places by staying in the city. The property is a heritage building and the newer parts of the hotel is built around that. The mornings are beautiful with so many green trees around. You can enjoy your morning tea and breakfast outside. Auto stand is just outside the hotel premises which is very convenient to make quick trips to the temple and the ghats. Food is ambrosial. We also enjoyed the evening classical music over the weekends from 8-10:30 pm. I will definitely recommend everyone to stay at this hotel of a weekend getaway!
