Situated beside Malioboro Shopping Centre in the heart of Yogyakarta, the 5-star Melia Hotel features a freeform outdoor pool and a spa. Spacious rooms provide cable TV channels. Very good hotel with everything needed for a comfortable stay. We had a wonderful view of the volcanoes from our room. The restaurant is very good and the breakfast options are overwhelming.

I really like the ambience and coziness of the room. They even upgraded my booking and it was incredible. The staff was so polite. I can’t say the breakfast is exceptional, but it ranges from traditional to basic western type of breakfast. The location is just perfect if you would like to explore Malioboro and its offered leisures; not to mention the hotel’s walking distance to train station (airport train and local trains).

The location just can’t be beat. The hotel is in the middle of a busy walking area, with tons of art, shops, restaurants and parks. The hotel sits just off the Main Street and is located in the upper floors (so it is quiet!). The hotel has a wonderful pool and dining area on the 8th floor, and the rooms have views. The room amenities were all complementary (surprise!). The room was exceptionally clean (the whole hotel had a very zen and clean feel to it. The bed was soft! Something I missed in my travels across Indonesia. For the price, this hotel is a great value (IMHO).

The location of the hotel is near to shopping areas. Breakfast was amazing and lots of variations. The room was comfy and complete with all the amenities. It was an enjoyable stay.
