The outstanding Verdi Budapest Aquincum - where inspiration meets tradition - is located in a prime area alongside the Danube on the Buda side of the city, facing Margaret Island. The staff was wonderful, especially Minica, took great care of us. The warm pools were a great way to end the long days out. Keily's, a nearby restaurant is a must!

The Bed Breakfast Hotel Budapest is situated in the green belt, a 20-minute train ride from the city centre. It offers a bar serving drinks and snacks, free Wi-Fi and free parking. It's hard to say anything negative here. This is a quiet, older hotel convenient to the H5 suburban train into Budapest (8 stops). The rooms are very nice, with refrigerator but no electric pot or coffee. The staff is very friendly and English-speaking, which is good because tourists are very unlikely to speak Hungarian. In general, Budapest is English-compatible. There is a large, free parking lot and the room price (35€ per night with breakfast for 2 in February) is excellent. Shopping is nearby and there are Roman ruins a bit to the south. The breakfast is very good, with many selections, although not luxurious (see 2 photos). The only addition I would make is some fresh fruit. It's quite easy to have interesting conversations with other guests at breakfast. Transit fares in Budapest are inexpensive but somewhat complicated, so you might want to simplify by buying blocks of 10 single trip tickets (no transfers except within the Metro subway system), even if they end up costing you a little more. Budapest is very walkable. When I return to Budapest, this is the only place I'd consider staying.

The Attila Hotel Budapest is situated in a quiet district, a 15-minute drive from the city centre as well as to Szentendre in the picturesque area of the Danube Bend (Dunakanyar). There is a sweet woman at the reception who helped me a lot. The room is clean, people give excellent service!!

Featuring accommodation with a balcony, SmartApart Óbuda is situated in Budapest. The apartment was in a great location, not too close to the center but easy to reach by public transport. The building was perfect—very clean, warm, and cozy. It felt like home. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Budapest
