Renovated in 2016, this stylish 5-star Schlossle Hotel is housed in 13th and 14th-century buildings and located in the centre of Tallinn’s Old Town. This is a small but beautiful hotel, with loads of character. Staff super attentive. Beds and pillows top 10! I can't fault it in any way. Breakfast also plentiful.

The elegant Rija Old Town Hotel, fully renovated in 2021, is situated a quiet part of Tallinn's Old Town. It offers individually decorated rooms with a flat-screen TV with cable channels. Everything. I always travel on a budget and l couldn't believe how lovely this hotel was for the money l paid. It is situated on the quieter side of the old town, but it is still only 10 minutes' walk to anywhere worth getting to. The breakfast was fantastic, with great options and my room was clean, warm and comfortable, with a lovely little ensuite and shower. I visited in early November, which is not the height of the season by any margin, but the value was excellent, regardless.
