Fridericianum, documentaHalle and Ottoneum (Museum of Natural History), top venues of the documenta art exhibition, are all within 1 km of the Hotel Deutscher Hof, located in the heart of Kassel and... There were multiple things we'd very much liked... The bathroom was very big, nice and clean. Also the bed was nice, we've slept like roses. Excellent breakfast, so much choice and tasted really good. We had a nice view on the church across the street. I think we couldn't find a better hotel than this!!

Hotel Schillerquartier is only a few minutes' walk from the centre of Kassel, and is near many shops and museums. It offers a shared kitchen as well as free WiFi throughout the building. Due to the price category and shared bathroom I was a bit worried if the place will be safe initially. When I arrived, I was given my own princess tower with just one or two other rooms. My neighbour was snoring anytime I woke up so a perfect stay. :) I remember the bathroom was supposed to be shared, however in my case, shared was just the toilet. Shower was part of the room, as well as a sink. Great is also the well maintained kitchen where you can make a big tea in the morning. Tip: For a good espresso you can visit Element Boulders in the neighbourhood. They don’t want entry fee to just buy a coffee or snack; the place is cozy, coffee great and wi-fi stable.
