Escape the ordinary at Graycliff Hotel and Restaurant, Nassau's landmark mansion. In busy, touristy, sometimes even artificial Nassau, this is the oasis you are looking for. I can't put my finger on it, but none of the photos, not even professional ones, pay this place justice. They tend to come out "granny-style". But the house is a gorgeous colonial-style building full of antiques and lovely details. It is like travelling back in time, in a good way. The huge, lush garden with the pool (yep, that pool with the blue, painted bottom) makes you forget the crowded, souvenir shops and the dusty roads in a second.

Villa By The Bay offers accommodations within 0.9 miles of the center of Nassau, with free Wifi and a kitchenette with an oven, a microwave, and a toaster. The host was very accommodating and responsive. Any requests for information or otherwise were responded to quickly. Outside of work, the location is within walking distance of many restaurants and the beach.

THE EXPERIENCE: Lush, renovated historical hideaway, beachside in the perfect location in Nassau SOAK IN THE SUN: Two freshwater, oceanfront pools & private cabanas overlooking 300 feet of white sand... The breakfast was great to have every morning. The dining room and staff were great. The convenience in location and closeness to the beach and other stores and food.

Located in Nassau, 1.7 miles from Cove Beach, Hillcrest has accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. This a great hostel and much exeeded expectations. Ignore any negative reviews on this site, I can honestly highly recommend the place. It's one of the cleanest hostels I have ever stayed in and Oneil does a great and meticulous job of keeping the whole place clean and tidy (including rooms, common area, kitchen and bathroom). He is also very helpful and a nice bloke and always on hand if you need help with anything. The room was very comfortable and has AC and floor standing fan, there are also clean blankets available if required. The location is quiet and peaceful and nice to chill out on the front or back porches. It's around 20 minutes walk to the port and supermarket, The only thing to watch out for are the drivers on the main roads as there are places with no sidewalk, but other than that it's a safe area. Deborah was very friendly and helpful in her email correspondence. I met some fantastic people here and had a realy great time. Highly recommended !
