I paid $16 USD per night. Great value. I didn't shower because in one bathroom someone left a poo and didn't flush then in the other there was crap all over the shower floor. Ensuite didn't seem worth it. Clean and quiet if you turn up the fan. Dirty towels, look like rags for the ground. Be sure to show the price online, they quoted me double in person until I showed them my booking. But!!! It's great value for the money and it's clean.

Very clean bedroom and bathroom. 24 hour reception was very convenient because we arrived late into Rio. Location is central and a short drive from the main beaches and the great nightlife area of Botafogo. Breakfast was simple but delicious. Excellent value for money.

Hotel Rio Claro is 200 metres from Rio de Janeiro’s Catete metro station and 600 metres from Praia do Flamengo Beach. Offering free Wi-Fi, it is 5 km from Santos Dumont Airport. Everything was great and the price totally worth it. The Staff were polite and spoke English which was very helpful for me. There was warm water. The room was clean.
