Ideally set in the 14. Penzing district of Vienna, Hotel Schönbrunn is situated 2 km from Wiener Stadthalle, 1.9 km from Schönbrunner Gardens and 2 km from Wien Westbahnhof Railway Station. First time in Vienna, first time alone at a hotel; that said, couldn't have asked for a better experience. The room was exactly as advertised, clean, quiet, nicely organized, and had everything I needed: shampoo, soap, hairdryer, towels, pillows, good wi-fi. The check-in was seamless: I arrived late, so the fact I could get the key with a code and not bother anyone doing it was a plus; an even bigger plus was when I realized, the next morning, that the hotel is really, really close to the Schönbrunn Palace. Moreover, there is a nice little bistro and a Penny supermarket just the other side of the street, and a tram station for two trams (10, 52) that connect to the U3 pretty much right in front of the hotel. I stayed here for four days, didn't need to interact with anyone for anything, and barely did I hear any of the other guests. For my taste, as good as it gets.
