Located 1.1 km above sea level right at the Austrian-German border, Alpenhotel Ammerwald is just 9 km from Linderhof Palace. It features a spa area with an indoor pool. WiFi is free up to a limit. Nice location, great view on the mountains. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Would like to return someday, there are a lot of interesting tourist attractions in the area.

The room we stayed in was newly renovated and very spacious with a double bed and a lounge sofa that could have held another 2 people. All areas in the hotel are very clean, the staff is super friendly and accommodating. We travelled with our small dog and the close by park was perfect for having him do his business. The hotel has a restaurant that serves delicious local meals and the breakfast buffet offers plenty of choices. We usually stay at this property when traveling through to Italy and it's perfectly located only a few miles off the Autobahn towards Innsbruck.

This long-established hotel, which has been owned by the same family for 400 years, is located in the heart of Reutte. Breakfast was excellent, the evening meals were also great, sitting out overlooking the historic town.

Midway between Fussen and Ehrenberg castles. Good value restaurants very close. Owners were available if necessary but otherwise left us alone.
