Chau Doc
Complete with a private bathroom equipped with a walk-in shower and slippers, the units at the country house have a flat-screen TV and air conditioning, and some rooms here will provide you with a seating area. At the country house, all units have bed linen and towels.
Guests at the country house can enjoy cycling and hiking nearby, or make the most of the garden.
The room was comfortable. There are a number of options to have local food nearby. The receptionist was nice and helpful. You can rent motorbikes for 150K per day.
But attention: as the property is located inside the border area, non-Vietnamese are not allowed to stay.
Great sense of hospitality from the owner. You are staying in a semi-rural area, but all your needs are being taken caren off. I recommend doing the tour from the homestay, to see all the major sights. The dinners and cooking classes were amazing. The homestay is at a great location to discover the countryside (lots to see!), maybe less for the city center. A shower in the room is a big plus not all homestays automatically have!
Good location, quiet at night. Very close to the boat dock for the trip to Phnom Penh. Close to the market and many restaurants and street food nearby.
The hotel has a great view of the sunset over Núi Sam (Buddhist holy mountain). Chau Doc is a lovely non touristy Vietnamese town and a good launch point for catching the ferry to Cambodia. The ferry stop is a 600m walk from the hotel. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The shower had great pressure and the room was quiet.
The bungalows are situated in a quiet area near the small lake. The surrounding is very nice. The staff was helpful and let us check in earlier.
Fantastic position mid city, but peaceful in our room. Everything worked. Good values in this budget range. Contact through booking.com answered by husband of receptionist, Nghia. He offered us a tour at a good price to do the things we planned for our visit. Private tour was excellent to make use of our time there. Nghia had good local knowledge and great English.
perfect place to visit chau Doc and take the ferry to Phnom-Penh. clean , quiet and possibility to rent scooter
It was quiet with great views over the rice paddies, banana palms and with a view of the mountain. The staff were able to book our boat tickets to Phnom Penh and provide suggestions about what to see and do
Easily accessible (5min walk from the pier), basic but comfortable. Great value for money. Super friendly & helpful hosts, arranged motorbike rent , laundry service & taxi to the bus station when we were leaving. Great bed, quiet a/c.
