The owner was very kind with us, she waited to show us the house and even surpised us with some "presents". The neighbours were very nice to us, we needed firelighters and some olive oil and they provide it with no problem. About the house, is really well equiped (u even can wash clothes there). We were 3 but it has easily room for 6. Very good point about the house is the sunrise. I advise u all to wake up earlier, its worth it! U do have a restaurant and a market relatively close that u can trust.

Casa da Ermida is located in Ribeira do Nabo, right in the centre of S. Jorge Island, Azores. Featuring typical architecture, this unit offers free WiFi acess and private parking. Great 4 night stay for 2 couples spending 3 weeks in the Azores. Peaceful location was out of town, requiring drives to get to restaurants and grocery. We were touring the island by car, so this was no problem. Our only problem was realizing we were to call Carlos (card on the door) to get in! He lives off site, but provided a nice daily breakfast and was very responsive and eager to offer advise and answer questions. We enjoyed use of the washing machine and the kitchen for a couple simple dinners.
