Situated just 15 km from Cape Egmont Lighthouse, Goodin Country Garden offers accommodation in Okato with access to a garden, a terrace, as well as a shared kitchen. The welcome was warm with good communication for our arrival. The interior is all decorated to a certain aesthetic which is calm and peaceful and rather luxurious. Our room had the most amazing view which we woke up to over the paddock with horses to the ocean beyond. We were fortunate enough to be the only guests in the house so we were able to treat it much like a home. We ate dinner (brought) on the patio and spent hours wondering around the stunning gardens. Good quality linen and a comfy bed were a bonus.

The place was cozy and very quiet for a good rest before we went hiking at Mt Taranaki. For sure, this place is recommended for folks who want to have activity around the mountain as it's located only a minute drive to the Mangorei Road car park

Being able to relax stress free was what we needed. Have some big months starting this week with sons health. The facilities and location was absolutely perfect. Quiet and peaceful. Nice family fibes
It was quiet, peaceful, the staff were amazing, I had booked 3 days on a daily basis, technically I should have left and came back at 2pm but they were happy to let me stay.
Bath in the room was great with the view, quiet and peaceful.
The bed was very comfortable and clean - unfortunately, the bedroom room itself needed a REALLY good clean. Smelt like a smoker was in the room prior to us. The sliding door to the bathroom needed repairing. Otherwise very quiet, peaceful and bonus no stairs, with easy onsite parking right in front of the motel room.
