We’re on a trip where we’ve stayed in 7 properties. This was the best. Trees and lawns around, longer grass areas to offer contact with nature, lots of birds and birdsong, amenities excellent. Michelle lovely.

Stoneridge Estate offers 5 star luxury bed and breakfast accommodation and fine dining in a tranquil setting, 15 minutes’ drive from the heart of Queenstown. Our stay at Stoneridge was little short of ideal! The grounds were simply stunning - you take a steep drive up to the resort, passing by vineyards and rose bushes. The buildings have a historic stone and wrought-iron look and truly feel like they have been there for centuries. Walk around the grounds and you might also see the very cute, peaceful chapel. The rooms were, again, stunning, with beautiful views over Lake Hayes. They were spacious and thoughtfully furnished, including the bathrooms which had his and hers sinks. On checking in, we were greeted by their very friendly staff who offered us two glasses of rose and a lovely cheese board. In short, we loved it here - it felt like pure luxury!

Amuri Estate Luxury Lodge has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Hanmer Springs. This was a highlight of our 3 week journey around the South Island. We would highly recommend going out of your way to stay at Amuri for the quality of the service, the stunning views and the aura of serenity which you cannot help but be taken in by. The cheese platter and wine on arrival was excellent and the kitchen facilities were perfect. Don't even hesitate, book a night (or more!) here and it'll be a highlight for you too.

Millton Park Estate offers guests luxurious accommodation. A self-contained cottage for those searching for an exclusive use experience. Absolutely lovely inside and out. Beautiful gardens surrounding our very private guest house as well as the main estate. The hosts had prepared very helpful materials on food options. There was an amazing spa tub that we didn’t have time to use, sadly.

Set in Pleasant Valley in the Canterbury region, Bellbird Hideaway features a garden. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. What an incredible house in a beautiful area! Felt unbelievably lucky to get a night booked here. The photos don't do it justice! We wished we could have stayed longer!! Diane is the most wonderful host 💛 So easy to contact, she met us at the door with such a warm welcome. The house itself is stunning, our room was lovely, such a comfortable bed, shower was incredible! Breakfast was delicious the next morning, and she gave us a tour of the church just up the road, which is pretty special. Loved getting to know Charlie the cat, too. Felt like home 💛 we are from the UK but would come back here, especially when next in NZ and stay longer! Thankyou Diane 🙏

Boasting river views, Willow Cottage Retreat features accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 22 km from Christ Church Cathedral, Nelson. The house was wonderful. Beautifully furnished and super comfortable. Our hosts Leann and Dale couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. The grounds were beautifully landscaped, and the location was perfect. It was so nice to return each evening to this lovely country estate.
