Located in Valkenburg and with Vrijthof reachable within 12 km, Château St Gerlach - Oostwegel Collection, member of Relais and Châteaux provides a tour desk, allergy-free rooms, a terrace, free WiFi... Everything was excellent, especially considering that the hotel was having some renovation work done and there were clearly issues with IT and some organisation due to one building being out of action. But considering those handicaps the place did remarkably well and the dogs absolutely adored it - wonderful, safe country walking, their first geese, plenty of interesting artworks ......and total peace and quiet. I would put in a special mention for the excellent , charming service - nothing was too much trouble, and everyone was friendly and helpful. The dogs would say, if they could, that they LOVED their smart khaki padded beds, the generous bowls of dog treats, the designer poo bags and the admiring pats from one of the staff, who slipped them a few extra nibbles.....

A recently renovated farm stay set in Noorbeek, Recreatie Landgoed Terlingerhoeve features a garden. There is a private entrance at the farm stay for the convenience of those who stay. Charming guest houses in beautiful surroundings. Peaceful and perfect location for the day trips we took to Brussel, Luxemburg, Valkenburg, Maastricht etc. The guesthouses are fully equipped, so it is possible to make meals which was nice. They have farm animals and a big playground, so nice for families with children.
