Situated 2.8 km from Penang Times Square, 3.2 km from Rainbow Skywalk at Komtar and 3.5 km from 1st Avenue Penang, GP Hostel Penang features accommodation set in George Town. It is located 600 metres from Northam Beach and provides a shared kitchen. The country house features family rooms. The room was basic, but good and above all clean with airco and fan. Location is in a residential area so it was quiet at night but still walking distance to central town area.

Area is good, and you can't hear a mosque call to prayer, which for me is a big plus, but also right near the Chulia St scene, so that's a plus TV had only you tube, but it worked OK. Kitchen of sorts downstairs but not in room. Bed was comfortable Quiet and peaceful
Spacious room for two. I booked Deluxe Room 202 and they were a queen bed and two single-stacked beds provided inside. Came with your own private bathroom. Easy check in and self checkout. Friendly and accommodating host. Situated in a peaceful road right by the beach. Love the ambience and how quiet the place was! Will stay here agaij in my next visit to Penang.
I love that I have the entire floor to myself, very spacious and private. The neighbourhood is quiet and safe, the room is also rather isolated from other rooms, which makes the stay very pleasant as I can rest in my room peacefully and quietly. The communication and hospitality of the host is excellent. It was easy to get into the property with very clear instructions.

I loved this place so much as it is very quiet and peaceful. My kids loved to swims everyday until 10pm at the swimming pool. The location also is very near to a supermarket and restaurants, make it very convenient and easy. There is also a washing machine so we don’t need to find a laundry outside. And the unit is very huge and spacious
The design or this place should be itself a touristic attraction. The architecture of the building and the room is fantastic and fascinating, very modern and creative. The location is perfect to explore the town by foot and full of nice café and restaurants in the area. The staff was reachable in the chat and very nice and helpful. At the moment of our visit, this street was also very quiet and peaceful and we could sleep very well in silence. The self checkin allows to arrive at any time without stress and works very well.
The hotel feels like you are in a little luxurious yet welcoming lobby, soft carpet flooring, and beautiful dimming atmosphere. I stayed here over Thaipusam week in a Deluxe room, which is perfect for a couple with its king sized clean bed, nice pillows, spacious seating area and private bathroom. It was truly an escape from the hustle and bustle of KL, and it was such a relaxing experience enjoyed access to shopping malls and hawker delights while enjoying a quieter stay in the heart of George town.
The house was spacious and the surrounding was excellent. Quiet and peaceful location.
It's an historical mansion. Indigo Restaurant is exceptional. Staff in both restaurants were fantastic. Daniel is a great host. The Shantung room was quiet and peaceful.
