The air-conditioned country house consists of 2 bedrooms, a living room, a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave and a coffee machine, and 1 bathroom with a hot tub and slippers. The country house offers bed linen, towels and housekeeping service. House is pretty clean and artistic. Beds are very comfortable. the most important thing is landlords are pretty kind. hope I spent more time on this peaceful place:)

The spacious country house has 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, bed linen, towels, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a terrace with mountain views. A private entrance leads guests into the country house, where they can enjoy some wine or champagne. A dressing room and laundry service is also available. The space, barbecue and decoration were superb!
Both dinner & breakfast were good. Ryokan Hakkei is located in a quiet & peaceful location.
The staff - they were just fabulous. Intelligent young people who were clearly interested in our experience with good advice. The location was chosen for proximity to the ferry. The room was traditional and comfortable. AC was quiet.

I wish I could have stayed for longer. The facilities were spotless and tidy. The kitchen had everything you need to cook. The room was comfortable and beautiful. The environment in the house was really peaceful and it was really quiet at night. The manager was a very kind man, always there to help. I am thankful that I had the chance to stay here. Location was also perfect, less than 10 minutes walk from Okayama station. 100% recommend this place. I hope I can come back in the future!
Great views & location.. and on top of that, seriously great bar on the tools floor with stunning views over the city.. rooms very comfy and clean. Very luxurious
The guest house was comfortable and located in a quiet location. The premises seemed new or had recently been updated. It was clean and well-equipped. The staff in charge, though not fluent in English, was very pleasant and helpful. Overall, we enjoyed our two-day stay and managed to rest and recover from our flight.
If you love a lovely atmosphere reminiscent of Studio Ghibli films, Hayashima is your city, and this traditional guesthouse feels like a fairy tale. It's an absolutely amazing place. You can relax in the main room, enjoying a drink or a meal while taking in the view of a traditional Japanese garden filled with birds and dragonflies. The garden and quiet environment are wonderful. The town is small and cozy, making it a perfect base, just a few stops away from Okayama. The guesthouse owner is incredibly kind and helpful.
Beautifully furnished. Luke a luxury apartment. Every detail from the choice of ceramic tableware to the tatami flooring made it a very special experience. But for the clumsy person as everything is quite precious, paper screens and pale flooring. The bath and shower are musical and the Japanese toilet a luxurious experience.
Great location, really close to the station, and then an easy walk through the covered marketplace to the historical quarter. The onsen was peaceful and luxurious. They gave a free drink per person, per night, and extra drinks were 100 Yen!
Very charming traditional house! I stayed 2 nights in the female dorm which was so cozy, quiet and confortable. The corridors reminded me of the ones in Spirited Away film! The staff was so friendly! Lot of space, very clean, this is a peaceful place where I could have stayed longer ! I warmly recommend this place !
