I will now leave a very long review for those who is looking for something special not a traditional ‘south B&B’. The hotel is located rather far away from Brindisi and Melagne. I would say this is more likely to be an advantage for those who is tired from the noisy busy cities. But I am not sure it is possible to get without the car. It is absolutely new renovated building. The property is renovated on the ruins of an old farming. The owners told me this has taken them 10 years to come up with this project from idea to a first working day on August,6 this year. The materials are very expensive. And you feel the special atmosphere in every detail you see here. The owners of the hotel is a family of two brothers and a sister which makes this a traditional family business with all those great things like home made pie during the breakfast and full time hospitality. What is very important they have improved the tradition of the on-line check-in which comes from well-operated hospitality businesses. That means you can get your room almost any time. The very special part of this review should go to Dario. He is the owner and as I feel the main inspirer of the project. I would only comment that they give 5 star hospitality. Still you should understand that hotel is located almost in the field. And you will get it after ridding through fields. Next year they are planning to reconstruct a swimming pool which would add some comfort during the long hot season. I would highly recommend for those who does not want to spend extra money but wants to get a high level service.

Our room was spacious, comfortable, clean, and tastefully decorated. The property is charming and has a lovely common area with a beautiful pool with a view of the sea. One of the highlights of our stay was a gourmet dinner prepared by Marc Antonio, our charming host. The meal was delicious and innovative, and the setting was stunning. I would highly recommend having dinner prepared by Marc Antonio on one of the nights during your stay. Staying at the Apollo House was truly a wonderful experience!

We were welcomed by Carmela, Roberto’s sister. We felt instantly home. The accomodation, the courtyard, the family. We got fresh Apulian pastries for breakfast, fresh cherries, almonds to try, olive oil to use. We also could purchase some wine (Rosato - very nice) to have in the evening after exploring the area. Roberto showed us his farm as well - wine, almonds etc. We were lucky to get to try some home made food like cheese and focaccia from his mum as well. It is perfect spot to explore the surroundings like Matera, Alberobello, Monopoli. It’s definitely recommended to have transport.
