The property has been beautifully restored by the owners who are charming and very friendly and hospitable. Our room was large with all you could want including a well stocked hospitality tray. The continental breakfast had everything you’d expect as well as ham, cheese and a home made smoothie. The breads and croissants were very fresh and tasty. The bed was comfortable and we had a quiet and undisturbed night. The location is great. It’s next to the basilica and a short walk to a number of restaurants. We chose to use the secure car park, for a small fee, and it was just a short walk too.

Fabulous breakfast served in our room. Their home is very peaceful and quiet, but only a short drive to Cassel. Wish we had more time to stay.

Situated in Douai, within 500 metres of Douai Train Station and 2 km of Ecole des Mines de Douai, Château Hôtel de Warenghien features accommodation with a garden and free WiFi throughout the property... The building is incredible with lots of outdoor space and close to the town.Rooms are very large with lovely old furniture. What really made our stay was the exceptional service. Charles the manager was very informative and gave us lots of details about the history of the house as he showed us around,and had enormous enthusiasm. Breakfast was really good if a bit pricey. Can’t wait to go back again
