Not too far from Los gigantes (15min)

A beautiful peaceful place to stay, in the lanes above the lovely non touristy town of Güimar in the east of Crete. Ideal for people looking for an authentic view of Canarian life and a particularly perfect location for walkers/hikers. Wonderful helpful hosts and we recommend having breakfast..made with tasty fresh local produce. We stayed in the apartment which has the most spectacular views and terraces all the way round. It takes up the entire top floor of this delightful traditional property. We loved it.

The owner provided clear instructions for gaining access to the house, and we found a bottle of water and a bottle of wine awaiting us upon arrival. The owner also kindly left toilet roll, kitchen towels, bin bags, travel soaps, toothbrush packs, and sachets of shampoo. Such thoughtful touches that we really appreciated. There were loads of towels of all sizes, and the whole place was spotlessly clean when we arrived. There is a laundry room with washing machine which I don't believe is pictured online. Follow the written directions and you won't have any problems working the washer. There's also a portable cot, clothes drying rack and extra folding chairs for guests to use. There is no living room at this house. There is a kitchen/dining room, a sunny courtyard with BBQ and table & chairs, and three bedrooms. Each bedroom has a flatscreen tv with satellite, Netflix etc. We designated the smaller downstairs bedroom as the "living room." The sofa bed provided seating for only three of our party of five, but we made it work. Not a problem for couples or small families. This is not a criticism of this property in particular. SO many places sleep six, but only have sofa seating for 3/4 people. The upstairs bedroom is huge, with a full bed & a sofa bed. This room could easily double as a living room or family suite with the addition of another sofa/sofa bed. A family or group of friends would then have a place to congregate for 6+ people. San Miguel village is lovely, and the people are very friendly. We were the only tourists there when we visited in April. We appreciated that it is a safe & quiet residential area. This is not the place to come to party all night! You will need a car if you stay here as the roads around the house are narrow and hilly. We found it a good base for visiting the Monkey Park, Los Cristianos, Golf Del Sur & local restaurants.

Very comfortable, cosy apartment, extremely clean with a nice host 🥰 Everything is reachable in 20-40 minutes, nice climbing areas and beaches around. The owner was very friendly, we got fresh lemon from her garden 🥰Everything was very clean and the bed sheets smelled like flower 🌺 I never had such a nice sleep before 😊

The house is very well maintained and is located next to plantations. Very nice view of the ocean, sky, mountains!! Very friendly owners who are always ready to help.

Incredible location with view of the Atlantic and Gran Canaria. The hut is in the middle of a lovingly tended to garden, with oranges and avocados all around. The hut and garden are secluded from the owner’s house, ensuring complete privacy. The bathroom is open air, so you can watch the sunrise while showering. The owner herself is an incredibly friendly medical doctor who is happy to help any time and provided us with freshly picked fruits she grew herself. Incredible experience, if you are looking to spend a few cozy days with your partner, this is the place!

The whole place was well equipped, clean and outdoor area was perfect. Hosts well so lovely and welcoming too. Can't wait to come back
