But you could also eat home cooked food. the breakfast was amazing!

Hacienda El Porvenir by Tierra del Volcan is set in a traditional Andean house with adobe walls and thatched roofs. There is a restaurant, and breakfast is included. Food at the restaurant was stellar, great selection of typical Andean dishes to try at reasonable prices. Location was scenic and beautiful, lots of hikes to try and loved spending time with the llamas. Great place to relax, sit by the wood fire and reconnect with nature or loved ones. The spa was just what I needed to relax, worth it.

This was one of the most interesting experiences I've had with a booking.com stay. It's an indigenous community that has a small lodging for tourists. It was comfortable and sufficient in terms of the accommodations. The indigenous ladies are always walking around and love to chat with you. They speak Quichua and some speak Spanish. We were able to chat for a long time with a big group of them and learn about their culture, way of life and families. We hiked up to a hillside with one woman who showed us her cows and different crops. They cooked us their homemade meals and made us feel really welcome. It was an unforgettable experience that I highly recommend. One sweet old grandma always had a little puppy following her around. It was so adorable. When we planned to leave at 4 am, one of the ladies organized a taxi for us. We didn't have enough cash left, so the woman's husband lent us some bills in exchange for a bank transfer super late at night. They continuously went out of their way to help us and show kindness. I will never forget it.

This restored 120-year old rustic farmhouse features a garden and free Wi-Fi. Breakfast is provided and includes yogurt, butter, and cheese made from the property’s own cow milk. The Harcienda Hato Verde is the perfect place to explore Cotopaxi and relax in the evening with a nice glass of wine in front of the fireplace. I can totally recommend to visit, you’ll feel welcome immediately.
