Great air con and mini fridge helpful for cooling our water overnight. The breakfast is the best you will get in Albania. THE BEST.

Additional in-room amenities include fruits. This is such a unique place to stay, it truly is like being at home with your grandparents. I was so well looked after the whole time. It is quite far uphill from the new town, I’d recommend taking a taxi if you don’t have a car. I opted to walk and when I arrived I was tired, hot and sweaty. Gianni and Xanthippe are so beautiful, they sat me down and fed me a huge lunch. All the ingredients come from the orchard on their property so everything is home made. Gianni was kind to take me to the local cafe for a drink before dinner. Even though they don’t speak English, you can communicate fine with sign language and google translate. They very kindly cooked me a huge dinner and breakfast too. Their home is so beautiful with the grape trellises hanging overhead, gorgeous hydrangeas growing everywhere, chickens, rabbits, cats. It has a STUNNING view over the valley, the castle and Livadhi Beach. It’s also a 2 minute walk to the castle. The room is very comfortable and they will make sure you feel right at home. Their nephew was also very kind to give me a lift to Himare when I left. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here, it is a cultural experience.
