Highly recommended for a relaxing get away accessible by car and near to a country village and beaches. Loved it all. Spacious, had everything you could possibly need, lovely view, peaceful... we felt on top of the world. The night skies were amazing, I don't think I have ever seen so many stars. Idyllic location right next to Sao Luis. A lovely set of rooms located in the hills with farms around. Not too many guests meaning very peaceful and use of the pool all day. The fresh orange juice was great, as many of the reviews have noted. Jose was the most relaxed Portuguese man. Incredible value. Powerful shower. Super flexible check in and check out. Feel at home there and not a guest just a resident in this spot of paradise.
Very relaxed place “a simple house for simple people “ as the owner said. Nice pool, good rooms, nice breakfast. A bit out of the way and not for those seeking luxury, but good value for those looking for some peace and quiet in a nice spot.
The room was large, clean and very comfortable with a very nice stone patio with table and chairs outside. The breakfast (almost always good everywhere in Portugal) was especially good. The location was wonderfully quiet, and just an easy 1 km walk down a country lane to the village and restaurants. One of our 5 best stays in 6 weeks in Portugal. Highly recommended.
