We loved everything about this unique property. The hosts, the history, the location, the animals, the pool, the peaceful location. If you are looking for a central location to visit all the region has to offer, this is it. You will not find a better place or better value.

Well-appointed and spacious hotel converted from an antique stream-side former paper factory surrounded by greenery, flowers and rolling hills. Delicious Portuguese breakfast with coffee, juicefruits, cheeses, pastries and yogurt. Just outside the spa town of Caldas de São Jorge, and near the factory museums of São João da Madeira, the medieval castle of Santa Maria da Feira, and the ancient ruins of the Castro de Romariz. My room had big plate glass windows looking out on the pool and garden area. Very attentive and personable proprietor.

Everything excels at this Quinta. Every time we come, we feel like it is the home of our dreams.
The last time we were here, Antonio asked us to please come back and bring friends. We did and it was a highlight of our friends' trip.
The ambiance, the history, the amazing grounds, the customer service - all are above par.

The owners, Fernando and Paula, were just wonderful. You could see the thought put into every small detail, from the ceramic coffee and tea mugs, to the room decor, to the calming music during breakfast. Breakfast was simple, with quality ingredients, and delicious. The bed was exceptional. They even have a pillow menu! Overall, an exceptional place to relax and rest, with easy access to Aviedro and Porto.

Room is quite large and the facilities are good.
The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes located in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, like trekking, bird watching, and cycling.
Peaceful and quiet. Perfect for animal lovers like us. Staff was super nice and easy to communicate with. Although we just stayed a few days, we find this place the perfect spot to spend a whole week or more :)
The staff at the hotel were exceptional, in particular Adriana. She gave advice on local restaurants and organised taxis for us; nothing was too much trouble. All the staff were courteous and seemed genuinely happy.
Our room was very comfortable, quiet and had all the amenities required.
Breakfast offered a wide choice, well presented and delicious.

It is a beautiful, quiet accommodation in the middle of nature. The host Viviana is very friendly and made our stay a great experience.
Every morning we got fresh eggs from the local chickens and we were allowed to harvest lettuce from the garden.

The host drove us to the accommodation which was up a steep hill and after a days walking was much appreciated, he even took me to the local shop then took be back after. Great service. Room was spacious and comfortable with balcony and great view. Very quiet and peaceful
