The staff were very warm, welcoming and helpful. While it was the tail end of the harvest season, it was still very interesting to see some of the work in progress and we were encouraged to go into the vineyard to watch and to ask any of the workers questions that we might have at that time. Regrettably, we were unable to enjoy an in-house dinner at the Morgadio because the venue was involved with the local Wine Festival which was taking place at that time. We learned from some fellow guests that they had been able to dine there a few nights beforehand and it was an incredible dining and educational experience which offered a topnotch tasting menu including wine pairings with each course. The intimate atmosphere and the charming hosts made for night that they said was truly the highlight of their entire trip to date.

A wonderful properly. Very thoughtfully set out, decorated and furnished.
The location is beautiful up on the hill and being able to see down both directions of the Douro river.
Bed and bedding were superb and comfortable.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
The dinner was excellent and of course the wine choice was great too.
The tour which is included in the cost of the room is excellent too.
We will return to stay here for longer next time!

This is a gem, perched high above the Douro looking down towards Pinhao. The view was magnificent, the property nestled in a vineyard up on the hills. I wish we had been there at time to enjoy the pool, and had been able to stay to take advantage of the in-house cuisine, but alas.

The house is stunning—immaculately maintained with an incredible view. Patricia, the owner, is a wonderful host who made us feel warmly welcomed from the start. She’s poured so much love into every detail of the property, and it’s even more beautiful than the photos suggest. Everything was spotless, and each morning, she prepares a delicious breakfast with every detail thoughtfully considered.
The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes based in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, such as trekking, birdwatching and cycling.
The location was on a winery in the hills. It was very peaceful and gorgeous. The owner was always available if we needed anything. We took a taxi to/from town and that was easy.
Jet & Ronald were wonderful hosts, we had a lovely big room with mountain views. We really enjoyed having the dinner and wine tastings with the other guests.

The rooms are very comfortable, the breakfast is very good. I liked the location, a bit higher up, very quiet and with great view over the valley. The terrace upstairs is an oasis of peace, lovely to sit there, watch the surroundings, preferably with a nice glass of wine.
Exceptional views, clean; spacious; comfortable accomodation, friendly and helpful staff, easy access to hiking trail to Pinhao, easy to arrange taxis. Restaurant provides a simple, tasty, well cooked set menu with several choices and a beautifully presented picnic lunch which is well beyond expectations (enough for a couple of friends too))
The wine is exceptional. Anna was very accomdating, attentive without being intrusive. The tasting was amazing !!! Wow! The Vineyard is so peaceful and beautiful! Being able to pick figs and lemons fresh was a highlight! The scenery is spectacular. A totally relaxing retreat 😌
