Breakfast every day is abundant, with local cheese, honey, bread, jams, local juice, tea and coffee. We were able to ask for some scrambled eggs though, as we don’t eat that many carbs usually.

Great house on the southern side of Pico island. Modern, clean, spacious, quiet, well equipped, etc. Outdoor patio is a great place to watch the sun set or walk down to the nearby natural pools for a dip. A bit away from town (which I enjoyed) so make sure you look it up on a map and rent a car to get there.

We had a wonderful time at the Casa Da Lava. With Paola’s information (Google Maps pin and house number) the house was easy to find, even at night. It was absolutely beautiful, clean and comfortable. The wi fi worked perfectly, so did the hot water (no problems with pressure or temperature), and it is NOT filled with insects as other reviews say, we saw a couple but that is only normal when you have nature around (I do not like insects and had no issues). This place is not ideal if you are looking for a modern minimal vibe, but if you like romantic country houses it is very beautiful and we strongly recommend it.
The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes located in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, like trekking, bird watching, and cycling.
Lovely house built in original style but with all amenities and even two bathrooms. Lovely barbecue/picknick area outside and walking distance to a natural pool. Quiet area and amazing views. The owner was very responsive.
This is definitely the best place to stay in Pico. Everything is perfect about it - the location is very secluded, at least it was for us - no neighbours, quiet. Stunning views of the ocean, beautiful garden, pool. The whole atmosphere of the place is so special and the style the house is decorated in resonated with us on some level. The villa is spotlessly clean and has everything one might need for a comfortable stay. Will definitely come back! Thank you, Pedro and Vania!
We spent 4 nights in Barrocas do Mar. Everything was perfect, the flat is well equipped, perfectly clean. The view is breathtaking, and we enjoyed a lot the terrace to have breakfast and diner outside. It well located and in a quiet environment.

Very nice and quiet place, 2 minutes walking from Atlantic ocean and natural pool. Whole residence was very clean and well prepared. No issue with finding the keys and check-in. Small but really nice terrace -- especially during evening. House is equipped with operational laundry machine but placed in very "special" place -- in the barbecue area.
Generally perfect place for whose who want take a break from the hustle and bustle of the world.
This place was great! Your own private villa oasis right beside the ocean (2 minute walk to a great resturant and natural pool!) The property owner was great at communicating with us to get into the house. Easy parking and the property has everything you need! A private patio, kitchen, dishes, and really comfortable bed! If you want a relaxing and quiet vacation, this is the spot to be!
The location is simply magnificent. The view is stunning. Overall the area is very quiet, peaceful and beautiful. There is a swimming are very close by. The house itself is very charming and well equipped with all the amenities. The terrace is a great place for a morning tea or coffee. Bruno is a great host, always available and attentive.
