A wonderful boutique vineyard hotel, in a quiet, picturesque landscape, with unique decorations, history and ambience. Wonderful hosts, beautiful rooms, great location. Great homemade breakfast, with local produce. An authentic Portuguese getaway!
I was warmly welcomed by the host, Nathalie, who was super available throughout my stay and provided great information about Riba de Mouro and the surrounding areas. The house is very nice and quiet, ideal for those who wish to escape the stressful city life. The bedrooms and bathroom have heating and the fully equipped kitchen/living room has a lovely chimney. Wifi was working very well throughout my stay and I was also able to use the washing machine.
Casa 42 is located in the historic centre of Monção. The concierge / owner is very friendly and attentive. Casa 42 provides clean and functional accommodation for a very fair price. Our room was very quiet, beds were cozy, shower with excellent water pressure. Highly recommended if you want to experience this vibrant and charming border town at the river Minho.
The house is fantastic. It has everything you might need for a relaxing time in the countryside. The facilities are exceptional and the surroundings are remote enough you'd enjoy some silence.
the hotel is in a converted mansion right on the edge of the old town and has parking. the common spaces and there are several are interestingly decorated. the staff has limited to no English (Monaco is not a tourist town) but you can get by. the restaurant has good food and service if you don’t feel like going out.all in all a good choice for Monaco
Warm and helpful staff and proprietor. Beautiful and peaceful setting, bathed in birds singing, the smell of orange blossoms, and views of distant mountains. Comfy outdoors hammocks and chairs, quiet and spacious room, great breakfast, tasty wine. My wife and I travel a lot in Northern Portugal, and this was one of the best stays we've had, and at great value.
