Lovely quiet,, well equipped and clean traditional style cottage in a large garden. The owner was very friendly and responsive. The kitchen and bathroom were excellent and the bed, towels and logs for the fire were renewed regularly. The location is convenient for mountains, coast, airport and Funchal. Supermarket within walking distance.

The accommodation was beautiful, clean, and tidy. The terrace with a view of Funchal was amazing, and every room was well-prepared. The kitchen was also well-equipped. The environment was quiet and pleasant without much noise, and there was a nearby shop for food.
Communication with the provider was very pleasant and quick. Everything was done via WhatsApp, and it was possible to write or call – in both cases, the communication was excellent.
We are very satisfied with the accommodation and highly recommend it.

On a quiet rural road, against the lush forest high up above Faial, Camelias is a family-run guesthouse with just a few rooms. Ours had a functional kitchen, a dining table for 2, TV, and a sunny south-facing terrace with great valley views, but no working wifi in the room. It's nice to stroll around the village to discover old stone pathways and levada canals, though it's steep in every direction. The closest shops and restaurants are 10 minutes away in Santana - we can recommend Marcel's Bistro. There's a special parking place off the road below the guesthouse. It's a peaceful place, though sounds from the large communal living room travel down the corridor - and around Christmas, the poor dog was not happy with the festive fireworks set off in the valley.

Wonderful experience at Villa Alta Vista: the studio was big and clean and it has everything you need. The view was amazing (both sea and mountain view), great place to see the sunrise, hear the birds sing and admire the beautiful garden.
Sabino and his family are the best hosts, friendly and warm, provided us with flowers and many welcome gifts, was always available with advice, made us feel like home.
Highly recommend the place for an unforgetable experience and would love to return.

Villa is huge and well equipment. You have everything there what you need. (Even slippers and hiking sticks!) You can enjoy the sun and take a dip in an amazing outdoor swimming pool with the incredible view of the village and the ocean. The view is just breathtaking.
Ana’s place has a private big parking in front of the house. You have to drive down from the main street, just be careful because GPS was leading us around, from the other side throughout a narrow banana trees alley where you can't pass😅
The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes based in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, such as trekking, birdwatching and cycling.
the house is fully renovated with very nice space, there is also washing machine and dryer that help after a full day hiking or swimming! very good communication with the owners
Everything! We had a perfect stay at Casas de Pedra. Our small house had everything we needed plus more and is so cosy and nicely decorated. The property with the garden is so beautiful and quiet. I was positively surprised that full service was provided - everything was cleaned perfectly every day and the breakfast is placed in the fridge so you can have it in your own time. Best stay in Madeira!
It was the most enjoyable and peaceful holiday we had. The birds would wake us up and the day started well that way. We had no car which was not a real problem as we took the local buses into Funchal and other places we wanted to go but if you do have a car it would even be easier. At the bottom of the lane was a great restaurant Katespero and they serve wonderful food and on days we couldn't face the walk back the owners gave us a lift home, so kind.
Quinta da Moscadinha was surprisingly quiet and peaceful. We were pleased that our fellow guests also enjoyed the tranquility of the hotel, as there was very little noise. Breakfast was lovely, plenty of options. The staff were extremely helpful and polite.
The bus stop to Funchal was close to the hotel, which was very useful.

A lovely quiet and relaxing place, feels like a luxurious getaway. The staff are lovely, the animals on the property are the cutest. I’d highly recommend and breakfast was delicious! It is everything and more and looks even better than the photos.
Very cosy, quiet and peaceful. Beautiful garden (forest?? It's huge) all around. Great facilities including very solid wifi. Good location for people with a car, close to a lot of attractions (Funchal, hiking routes: PR8, PR1). Great communication from Sofia too!
Very peaceful and quiet, lovely breakfast. Staff is really nice. Room very modern in an old Quinta. Very clean as well. Would recommend this place with no hesitation.
The location is absolutely lovely! so many trees and plants and flowers and even peacocks 😃 it is an old traditional house, we liked the style anf the chimney is great 👌it was very quiet and peacefully. The water was also great, as hot as you would like and with pressure🙂
