Everything! The well cared for gardens are spectacular and the house is well designed and stunning.
The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes located in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, like trekking, bird watching, and cycling.
The breakfast is excellent with a lot of options, including fresh orange juice and pancakes. Both swimming pools are great. The spa area is very quiet, we have enjoyed a nice time there as a family. Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Arcos de Valdevez!
Peneda is truly an amazing place for a nature getaway. Both the location and the house provide a very cozy rural experience.
There are several beautiful hiking paths nearby.
Finally, the hosts are extremely nice, provided several tips and suggestions on places to visit, hiking paths, restaurants, and had placed some snacks on the house for us upon our arrival.
We are looking forward to return there in the future!
We really enjoyed the peaceful countryside, the great view over the valleys as well as the really nice pool. The farm is in a perfect position to explore the sites around. But the real plus is the hospitality of the owners. We had dinner every evening sitting at the large table in the kitchen with other guests and friends of the family. The food served was outstanding, grown on the farm and healthy. This makes this place a really unique experience!
The whole house was well thought out and very clean. It was also located in a nice quiet little hamlet. The host’s were very helpful and welcoming on our arrival.
We would definitely book this property again if we were visiting this region in the future for walking and leisure activities.
Quinta Lamosa was located in beautiful peaceful surroundings among sounds of birdsong and the stream outside the property. It was very relaxing to stay there. Also nearby to great walking routes in nature.
Penedino is in a great location especially if you want a quiet place to relax in the nature.
The room and the kitchen are really well equipped, nothing was missing.
The owner is really helpful and always available to provide suggestions on the best spots, hiking trails and food to enjoy Peneda area.

I enjoyed taking long walks on the Ecovia do Vez , 30 km of trails that start from Ponte de Barca to Sistelo.
This was the perfect location for us to explore the surrounding countryside by bicycle. A charming little village with friendly people and a little cafe for coffee, beer, and a few snacks. The apartment was good for the four of us and had a locked and covered yard where we could keep our bikes, and a space outside to park the van. Very peaceful, rural setting.
