Spectacular new country home, perched above a small town 15 minutes from Régua, with breathtaking views of the Douro vineyards. Great heated pool and tastefully decorated house. Very friendly owner Patricia, who provided generous Portuguese breakfast and excellent restaurant and sightseeing suggestions.
The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes located in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, like trekking, bird watching, and cycling.
My family loved this place, peacefull quite very relaxing, a rural vibe super confortable. The staff is so thoughtfull and welcoming , from the first smile to the goodbye everyone was super nice to me and my family. Love to come back anytime.
A very nice modern apartment in an old house for four people, it had everything you need, very friendly hosts (thank you for all!!), peace and quiet. Highly recommended! Next time we come to Alijo we will stay here!
Lovely quiet Quinta with pool. Plenty of off road parking for our motorcycles at the side. Good size room, very clean and comfortable with AC and extra pillows if required. A short walk into town with recommendations for restaurants. We tried one in Alijó and other guests tried the other. We both had great meals. There is a discount offered for the sister restaurant in Favaios but we didn’t try it. A simple breakfast with offer of scrambled eggs but no other Hot options. The baked goods were very nice

The building is located very close to the village but it's surrounded by cultivated areas, fields and nice countryside. The room is clean and big. The breakfast is basic but good (fresh bread, homemade jams and cake). Very good value for money. I would definitely be back.
The house is very nice and was very clean. The area is peaceful and beautiful. The kitchen was well appointed. The caretaker is a nice person and breakfast was good.
Absolutley stunning views in a beautiful house! The local countryside has several walks which we really enjoyed and we'd love to come back! Particularly when the pool has been built :)
What a wonderful host! We enjoyed staying at Sarah’s place in Alijó. The quiet beauty of the house and all the small things she adds to make her guests comfortable are wonderful! Sara is a warm and welcoming host, incredibly personable and attentive. Her place is very clean and quiet and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful! We did not get to use the pool - still to early in the year. Definitely recommend!
