The accommodation was extra special as it was so homely. The attention to detail and extras not mentioned in booking details, were over and above our expectations. These included good quality soft sheets, a sofa to sit on. Dining table, dining chairs and crockery provided. Television in the room. Decorative flowers and ornaments in the room. Excellent room service for breakfast with great attention to detail. Takeaway breakfast made for our trip to Horton Plains. There is a terraced area at the front of the accommodation where you can sit outside. A small delightful garden full of flowers and birdlife. We sat in the garden to drink our welcome pot of coffee and tea. Assistance from the owner was given to organise the tuk tuk to Horton Plains. Also, on our first night the owner guided us into town through a shortcut. We thought he was going to point us in the right direction but he shone a torch for us for the whole distance. So helpful! The breakfast was excellent and plenty of it. There is a newly updated room that has the addition of a lovely fireplace which will be a real bonus in the cooler season. It looks like a room in a boutique hotel! Excellent value for money!

A very nice place to stay in Nuwara Eliya, a little bit far away from the city center but still at walking distance. The two guys who manage the guest are really unbelievable: they try to satisfy every request in the most efficient way. The apartment, as well as the entire house, is fully wood-made, with a really nice estetic taste!

Wonderful Stay - Highly Recommended! I had a fantastic stay at tailors cottage. The room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The location was perfect, close to [Hatton trailway, Bus Stand], yet peaceful. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, going out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. Favorite stay in Sri Lanka! Loved the room, beautiful bathroom, great big bed with duvet (not just a sheet haha). We got tea and biscuits at our arrival, which was lovely, and the owner was so kind! We did our laundry here as well for like €2. Busstop so close by, to go visit the waterfalls and bluefield tea factory for example. Also the Grand Hotel only 20-30 min by foot, we ate twice there and it was wonderful. Would have stayed here one additional night if we could, but we had to catch the train to Ella.
