We stayed with Meena Amma for three short days, and wished we had longer. Meena’s hospitality is note perfect, and her traditional Sri Lankan meals the best we have enjoyed in our time on the island. The setting of the two line rooms is stunning, from the beautiful sunrises to the peaceful evenings in the valley. the room was very clean and comfortable. It felt super cozy and we enjoyed our stay. The shower is really good. The owner is so sweet, he helps you with every small request. He brought us directly some nice tea and also prepared some breakfast. He is very passionate about improving his property. The accommodation is a bit outside of the center, but you can easily walk to the city in 15-20 min.

Wonderful Stay - Highly Recommended!
I had a fantastic stay at tailors cottage. The room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The location was perfect, close to [Hatton trailway, Bus Stand], yet peaceful. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, going out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. The on-site dining was delicious, especially the breakfast with its wide variety of options. Overall, a great experience—I'll definitely be returning!

The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes based in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, such as trekking, birdwatching and cycling.
We stayed in 5 different hotels during our time in Sri Lanka and this was our absolute favourite! We even cancelled plans just to enjoy the property. Incredible views and so quiet, all you hear are birds. Food is good too. It’s in a quiet area off Nuwara Eliya closer to Horton Plains and really made our trip.
