Find the country houses that appeal to you the most
Looking for a country house?
The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes based in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, such as trekking, birdwatching and cycling.
The amusement park, indoor heated wave pool and indoor carousel were a hit with my son. Because we came during off peak season, it was quiet everywhere we went and no queue for anything. The resort was staffing level was excellent even though there were hardly any guests. The breakfast spread was big and tasty, but wish there could be a little variation in the items day to day as we were there for 4 days. Room was big and the sitting area was a nice bonus. Easy drive to Niseko/Kutchan/Lake Toya areas.
Have a lot of bedrooms and spacious.
Simple kitchen (no scissors) 😅
Very local Japanese house.
Very quiet location.
Close to shops. (Walking distance - 2mins)
Everything! It is in a great location, the house was clean, cosy and comfortable in freezing winter conditions. Having the free shuttle to and from the mountain was a luxury and saved us so much money and time booking taxis. The staff were warm and welcoming and the room was clean with stunning views across the snow fields and of the mountain! The drying room was super helpful after long days skiing
The place is clean modern and very very nice. The area is in the forest of Hokkaido and was exactly what I was looking for. Very peaceful. It is a relatively remote area so driving is recommended. The breakfast that was provided was sufficient and full of options.
Lovely modern house in quiet area away from noisy resort. Comfy bed, great lounge room and open plan kitchen facilities. Efficient pick up and drop off at the beginning and end of the holiday. Good support from hosts when hot water system played up.
As a place to stay at a ski resort, pretty hard to beat. It was very quiet, extremely well appointed, had tremendous facilities - from the onsen to the ski lockers and if you wanted to, had self catering facilities. Tremendous views, at least from our side of the building. The rooms were extremely comfortable, and well sized. Little touches made a difference. For instance, brushes sitting outside so you could clean your skis after a day on the slope. And pretty much ski in and ski out.
