I loved the classic feel of the inn, and the staff were all great, especially Kyle who went out of his way to make sure we had a pleasant experience.
The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes located in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, like trekking, bird watching, and cycling.
The owner is doing all to help you. He books tours for you and brings you to the meeting point. You can do a lot around there: hiking, rafting, kayaking. You can take the bus or train and go visit Sapporo or Otaru. There are many restaurants close by. They even have a nice museum about the natural history. The house is clean and spacious.
The room was mostly quiet, clean and equipped with a small kitchenette. There is a kettle and a soup/noodle pot which worked well. There are supermarkets within walking distance and the train station is also close. There is a great coffee shop nearby, Sprout. The self service hotel is great as you can easily checkin and out at your own pace. The staff were nice when I did interact with them.
Good and cozy for small group about 5-6 peoples.
Pleasant surroundings (quiet, not busy & crowded).
Awesome complimentary coffee!
Well facilitated kitchen, cookery and utensils except missing dishwasher.
Friendly and helpful free shuttle service connecting to Hirafu Welcome Center on the days of check-in and check-out.
Fast response to queries.
After snowboarding the whole day, it was nice to have a hot water kettle for water or tea. The kitchenette had everything we needed -- plates, napkins, utensils, and mugs. Also, Chromecast was nice to have when we just wanted to relax and enjoy Netflix. The water got hot quickly and the water pressure was great for showers. The room and hotel was very quiet.
Ski in Ski out and the ability to buy lift passes in the hotel was super convenient. The ski and boots storage facilities were also great. The hotel shuttle service was also top notch and extremely useful for our family with the only requirement being some organisation to know when you would need the service! The studio room was perfect for us, with a huge bed and a nice little kitchenette if you want to relax and cook in the hotel one night. Everything in the room was very luxurious and clean.
Hostel with quiet and respectful guests. Incredibly kind hosts, beautifully served breakfast, and convenient ski shuttle to Hirafu. A welcome escape from the Hirafu ski town vibe.
The host is super cool and nice guy. He can speak English so feel free to talk to him, he knows nice hiking trails around and can pick you up with car from hike or take you there.
The property was very comfortable, with a large social area. The owner offered to collect me from the train station even though is less than a 7 minute walk. They also drove me to the base of hiking trails in the area.
