Breakfast was fabulous! The castle, grounds, and rooms are well taken care of. A little rustic, but clean. The tour and wine tasting were excellent. The tour leader is very knowledgeable. The vineyards are beautiful and lovely to walk through. We had a great time.

The hotel is beautiful with great surround in the middle of the vineyard! Beautiful and very well maintained. The room is comfortable, the bathtub is very good to relax after walk all day. The breakfast is very good and the staff very friendly.

Volpaia immerses travelers in the best of Tuscany. Set atop a hill wrapped in luscious vineyards and olive groves, the grounds are elegantly rustic. We definitely recommend the wine and olive tasting to learn more about the history of this gem that dates to the 1,100s. All staff were friendly and accommodating and we enjoyed some of our best meals in Italy at the restaurants in the village. The “made-to-order” hot breakfast each morning was also scrumptious. I felt like I was in my grandma’s kitchen again and she was cooking eggs and bacon just for me. I dream of visiting Volpaia again one day.

Stunning location at a vineyard. The grounds are pristine and the view is magical. The stone building accomodation is beautiful and big. Has small kitchen and separate bedroom and living. Secluded and private accomodation, not everyone squished into one building. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would stay again. Better than the photos advertised.

This was a very pleasant surprise. thw 2 km drive diwn a dirt was well worjth it. Very nice facitliry. Clean, quiet, beautiful area and views, comfortable bed and a very nice breakfast. The fact that there were sscreens on the windows meant we could have fresh air in the room without insects.We would have very much liked to have extended our stay.

Good quiet location in magnificent countryside. It is ideal for R&R and escaping hustle and bustle. Try their wine, which is very good, especially the reservation.
The personnel was wonderful . Very helpful, accommodating and friendly. The water in the shower was hot, which was great. Breakfast was generous. We ate in the restaurant one evening and the food and service was excellent. It was quiet, except for the croaking frogs, which I actually enjoyed listening to. Peaceful area.

Everything was perfect. We did a vineyard tour and wine tasting which we can highly recommend. The atmosphere was very relaxing and surroundings were quiet and peaceful. Wished that we would have stayed here for longer.
Wonderful location right in the middle of the Chianti heartland. The castle setting made it a special place but being in the middle of the countryside surrounded by forests and vinyards was a quiet bliss. Our room was fab, very comfy bed and the staff were really helpful. We were there in October so didn't make use of the sun loungers, it would be an idyllic summer retreat with the pool.
