Accidentally found this property since it was a last minute booking, but really exceeds my expectations, host (Giri Kumar) was very helpful always, he bought us stuff to eat and was very humble. Property is right on the banks of Ashtamudy Lake, beautiful view, the building itself is beautiful with a lush green lawn, interior was nicely furnished, kitchen with utensils were available, peaceful sleep, overall a nice property if you are looking for some relaxation
Friendly, helpful staff. The canoe trip they organised for us to Munroe Island was excellent, and they even got up super early to make us tea (the way we like it!) and omelettes.
The rooms front onto a green garden that is situated right on Ashtamudi Lake, making for a very peaceful outlook.
Be aware that you will need to either walk or rickshaw into town for lunch or dinner during the low season.

Positioned beautifully on the lake's edge, the villa combined luxurious comfort with spectacular views, providing an ideal backdrop for relaxation and rejuvenation. The hosts were wonderfully welcoming, enhancing our experience with their local knowledge and exceptional attention to detail. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a tranquil and indulgent lakeside retreat!
Comfortable, clean and colourful room. The staff are very friendly and helped to organise transport, as well as a tour of Munroe Island - which was a great morning out. Homestay is in a really peaceful location by the lake.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the property. The host were always friendly and happy to assist when needed. The property is luxurious and good value for money. The ambience was lovely & very serene, with a picturesque view of the garden and pool. We look forward to coming back in the near future. We enjoyed the use of the pool during our visit, followed by a BBQ. A very relaxing overall experience.
The hotel is built to exceptional standards and offers luxury accommodation at a very reasonable price. Kollam isn’t really on the tourist trail apart for its own backwaters that rival Alleppey so most people who stay at the hotel are Indian tourists or businessmen but I was treated with courtesy and respect, the food offered was excellent and the staff helpful
