It is a very peaceful and quiet property. After the crowd and mind boggling noise of honking horns, coming back to our room was a bliss.
Also, very close to the main temple of Kashi Vishwanath and the famous Dashashwamedh Ghat where each evening a wonderful Ganga Aarti takes place.
All the staff including the owner made us feel like we are a family. Very relaxing and safe indeed.
I had an amazing time in Shiva Lodge. The location is perfect, literally next to the ghats and the main temples, yet in a mostly quiet alley. The room was basic but clean and comfy, hot water was available at all times during my stay (always a luxury in India) and the view from the rooftop was stunning. Last but not least, the family running the place is adorable and makes you feel right at home, far from the scrum outside
Lovely, homey atmosphere in the hostel. Helpful and kind staff. I made lots of friends here. Great facilities for cooking your own meals. Good fridge, lots of cupboard space etc. Here I didn't feel like I needed to worry about anything. Rooms were peaceful and quiet, also during night time. Great respect shown from other customers/travels as well. Staying at Madsquad Hostels was easy and pleasurable. Would highly recommend if staying at hostels is your thing. 👍🏼❤️
Located in a nice and quiet neighbourhood (ideal after a day out in noisy and busy old banaras), luxury room is very spacious, breakfast spread was reasonably good for the price, staff was attentive and polite, shopping mall nearby which is a bonus
