A beautiful home in a pretty village with easy access to Halifax and Huddersfield. The Lodge is a spacious yet warm and cozy cottage with everything you could need. We had a wonderful Christmas there. Andrew and Charlotte were friendly and kind hosts and we look forward to visiting again!

Location was lovely and peaceful and the exterior of the hotel had character.
The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes located in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, like trekking, bird watching, and cycling.
The breakfast was lovely. Not overdone, not underdone, just right and not too expensive. Room was very economical. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Not too far off the motorway. I thought, since it was quite near the Haribo factory, that it might be noisy, but one drove round the back road and it was very quiet and peaceful with trees all around and enough parking available beside it. I would certainly use this hotel again. Thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay.

It has four spacious bedrooms with two en-suites, a main bathroom and a WC on the ground floor. The garden was a nice place to relax in the warm sun. Spacious car parking space at the back of the house. Great place to escape to from a busy working lifestyle. So peaceful and quiet!
Location - astounding. Stunning Georgian mansion on a pictueqesue lake. Home of world's first nature reserve - fascinating history and story retold in brochure. A wonderful, restful, quiet place with delightful walks in the countryside. Swimming pool, overlooking the lake, is gorgeous.
Charming little cottage with all you need for a stay including a table and chairs in the garden. The location is outstanding: quiet and peaceful but so close to the beautiful dam.
