Good property but didn't sleep a wink due to being located bang next to the motorway
The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes based in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, such as trekking, birdwatching and cycling.
My travel buddy and I had a wonderful over night stay, beds were comfy breakfast felt very country like and filling. James was a wonderful host and made us feel at home. Loved the countryside and location was very peaceful and out of the normal tourist areas.
We were greeted warmly! In our room was lovely fresh milk and biccies and little cakes. Met a lovely tabby cat too. Gardens are available to sit in. Very peaceful and quiet. I know the area well but Marion suggests places to visit.
This is a hidden gem! Countryside location. Quiet and peaceful. The rooms are beautiful. The bed was very comfortable. We had a meal in the restaurant which was first class. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The hotel is a stunning beautifully restored country mansion, like a French Chateaux in the English countryside. Everything is superbly maintained and presented by very professional and friendly staff. Staying here was an enjoyable and memorable experience.
