We loved that the property was gorgeous in itself. The property at first glance is well kept and stunning to say the least. The staff were so nice abd accommodating. We were shown to our room which was amazing. It was spacious and the view from our windows were breath taking. We had a clear line of sight of the loch which was peaceful to look at. We took a walk around the grounds and through one of the many trails surrounding the property. It was peaceful, beautiful, and a great way to end the day. The dinner was romantic in the dining room and the food was fantastic. The smoked salmon starter was so good that we ordered another. We ended our night by playing a game of chess in the drawing room while another guest played on the piano. We absolutely loved this place and will be returning with more of our family.

The location was fantastic. The house was a wee bit tired but you can forgive this due to it's age and location
The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes located in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, like trekking, bird watching, and cycling.
The host was so friendly. The house is lovely where we had a luxury room with beautifully wallpaper. The breakfast was delicious. We could only recommend to stay here.
Sue and Avril are excellent hosts. They made sure our stay was perfect. Fantastic breakfast, with fresh produce and tasted amazing. This is our second visit, and will definitely return next year as the location is perfect. Highly recommended for a quiet,relaxed, comfortable, and luxurious stay.
We are so glad we chose to stay at Thistle House rsther than take the easy option of staying in one of the bigger hubs around Loch Lomond.. Sue and Avril are the most delightful hosts. Very welcoming and accommodating.
Great breakfast. Not to mention their stunning building with its spectacular view back across Loch Fyne.
We had to leave before usual breakfast time and they were even able to arrange a lighter earlier breakfast for us before we left.

The cottage was lovely,spacious & comfortable surrounded by beautiful trees which we spotted a red squirrel in and a little stream making the area calming and peaceful we had a really enjoyable stay

Such a wonderful stay. Beautiful, quiet space and location overlooking the loch and across from Inverary, which is exactly what we needed. The two women who run the B&B are a delight and the breakfast was delicious. My partner and I had a wonderful evening whisky tasting (don't forget to bring your own - they don't run a bar there) and playing cards, followed by a long sleep in a big, comfortable bed with a comfortable, heavy duvet (if you know, you know).
Just wish we could have stayed a bit longer.
