Very comfortable room
Relaxing, especially in the lounge by the fire
Fantastic breakfast
The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes located in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, like trekking, bird watching, and cycling.
Handsome spacious very well furnished and equipped house for a comfortable stay in this idyllic village. Quiet and well situated. Pleasant, large, well kept gardens. Ample oarking.
Lovely quiet location in beautiful little village, which is a great base for exploring the Cotswolds. The accommodation has everything you need, is very spacious and feels like a home away from home.
The Slaughters Country Inn is set on beautiful, spacious grounds and we enjoyed sitting outside in the afternoon with a glass of wine. The food was excellent and the staff were very attentive. We did a day trip to Bourton-on-the-Water and it was absolutely packed with tourists. The Slaughters (as an area) is very similar as a village but much more peaceful and without the bustling crowds.
Position, good looking building, lovely grounds, useful car parking. Clean, quiet room, good shower, adequate toilet flush. Good sized lounge.
Staff I met mostly pleasant and helpful. It was good that they had herbal tea at breakfast, and the English head man in the dining room was good. Generally, the stay was ok, if nothing special.
The location is great. Easy accessible to various places like bourton on the water, stow on the wold. Nice quiet surrounding. Staff is nice and polite too.
The Slaughters is probably my favourite place in England. A tiny, quiet town with beautiful streets and houses. The Country Inn is in the middle of the small town and close to many Cotswold hiking routes. The hotel has high-quality facilities but has kept the old style charm of the cotswolds. The restaurant was our favourite part of our stay (the best toffee soufflé you will ever have) and a very good English breakfast!
