We were visiting friends in the area so the location suited us from that point of view. The cottage was comfortable, quiet and cosy. The kitchen was well equipped. The oven was not working during our visit, the owners were aware and had provided an air fryer as a substitute which was good.
The location is close to Castle Cary railway station which was a plus point.
An unexpected gem..! Frances and Julian are wonderful hosts. A beautiful room with access to our own sitting room, complimentary wine on arrival and delicious breakfast...in beautiful countryside. We will certainly be returning, thank you for a memorable stay !
Exceptionally clean room, quiet and private. Good pre arrival contact and clear instructions. It was wonderful to have windows that open providing fresh air.
Beautifully appointed rooms with luxurious linen and towels. Lovely array of toiletries to use in the old fashioned bath with a view out over the countryside. Martin and Melanie were the perfect hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was divine!
Everything! Lovely attention to detail, all systems thought through thoroughly. Beautifully contemporary but cosy, clean, lovely bathroom and shower, snuggly bed, food/bin systems, all quietly tasteful, a hop and a skip from centre of very charming little town. We were at the top of the house so had views over the gardens, town and onto the ridge. Very peaceful at night even though on route into town. Free parking just a few minutes walk away. All ideal and a complete pleasure, thank you! Would very happily use again.
