I spent three nights here on a semi-solitary retreat and it was just perfect for the purpose. It's also really close to Stratford upon Avon, so it's ideal if you wanted to visit there, as well. The hosts are absolutely lovely, relaxed, generous, kind, thoughtful, and friendly.
The Bijou MaltHouse is beautifully finished and has everything you need for a short stay. There are lots of thoughtful features and touches. The cabin at the bottom of the garden is a wonderful added bonus and I very much enjoyed meditating and having a view out across the field. I look forward to staying again in future.
The top choice for people wanting to get away from noise and fast-paced city life. Country houses are private homes located in the peaceful countryside, with communal facilities and meals available. Activities to unwind can be included too, like trekking, bird watching, and cycling.
Great location overlooking countryside, very pleasant seating area, well decorated, comfortable dining area. Super room, with spacious accommodation and walk through shower.
The included breakfast was varied and plentiful. It was nice to be able to have breakfast by the window in our room while watching the sheep and lambs chase the tractor around the field! Very quiet and peaceful - Baa the sheep. We chose the small double room which had everything we needed but we would opt for one of the larger rooms if staying there again. A very enjoyable stay!
We had the family suite. It was very luxurious, with a rainfall shower head, a bath in the main bedroom and TVs in both the bedroom and lounge. The soaps/shampoos and lotions were lovely. Tea and coffee facilities were generous. The bed was very comfortable and the temperature was perfect (it was winter but not freezing). The room was quiet; we didn't hear any other guests. Breakfast was delicious and great value and the staff were all very friendly. It's a 10-minute drive to Stratford-Upon-Avon so very convenient.
A welcoming and friendly host, lovely room and comfy bed.Excellent buffet breakfast selection plus a full English option. We really appreciated the freshly ground coffee in the room. So quiet and peaceful, everything we could have asked for, we were sorry to leave. Thank you Elizabeth!
